Hibiscus: Beauty of Supramental Youth

Garden of Existence

Mother’s comment

“There is not one psychological perfection, but five, like the five petals of this flower. We have said they are : Sincerity, Faith, Devotion, Aspiration and Surrender, but as a matter of fact every time I give this flower it is not always the same psychological perfection. It is something very fluid, depending on the circumstances and the need of the people”.

What is Perfection?

Perfection in the sense in which we use it in Yoga, means a growth out of a lower undivine into a higher divine nature [Sri Aurobindo, SABCL, 21: 671]

And in filigree appears the Supermind “Supermind at its highest reach is the divine Gnosis [SABCL, 17: 73]

“The supramental change is the ultimate stage of siddhi[SABCL, 22: 21]

Siddhi in Sanskrit means perfection, fulfillment, accomplishment.

We may notice that the psychological perfections named by the Mother, Sincerity, Faith, Devotion, Aspiration, Surrender seem again to be 5 qualities or Powers of the psychic. Interestingly, in the special significance given by the Mother to numbers*, 5 represent Power.

Thus seems to comes the full circle with the very first garden, Existence, and its flower Psychic Power in Existence”, as  “…the psychic being… will materialize and become the Supramental being…” [Mother’s Agenda, 1st July 1970]

This garden is at  the design stage.
